A

Commands are prohibited from taking any formal or informal investigative action, to include preliminary inquiry or interview of alleged victims, suspects or witnesses regarding the assault. In the case of unrestricted reporting consider not taking actions against the victim collateral misconduct until final disposition of the sexual assault case. I would at least notify my command cadre.

The member may marry the girlfriend and legitimize the child, not marry and get a paternity test to prove the child is his and possibly receive BAH with; the facts of the should be forwarded to Human Resources Services and information center, a court decree will normally include proof of paternity and will be authorized BAH with. Discipline and Conduct Manual CIM 1600.2 Ch 2.E
