What is tactical maneuvering?
It is the use of the CG vessel to engage in vsl on vsl operations regardless of speed with a non CG vessel for PWCS or NCV Pursuit
What is required by all crew members anytime boat forces assets engage in SZ enforcement or NCV Pursuit activities including training?
All crew members are required to use crew restraint devices and/or gunner restraint systems
What is the gunner restraint system?
Its a 2 part harness system which tethers the gunner to the boat
Who is exempt for using the crew restraint system?
Designated trainers and STAN evaluators are exempt from wearing the crew restraint requirements if both hands are free and its a training/evaluation mission as governed by the SOP
For crews traveling at speeds 30 kts or greater as well as crews engaged in activities other than those specifically cited, restraint wear is at the discretion of whom?
At the discretion of me, the OIC and additional guidance shall be in the units SOP
Who is requires to wear the gunner restraint system?
Personnel manning the MAW are required to use this system
Can a member wear more than one harness at a time?
No
What is considered high speed?
Any speed over 30 kts
What are the two ways that a member firing the shoulder fired weapon should be restrained?
Either by a tether or restrained by the crew restraint system
PWCS is what kind of posture?
A defensive posture
NCVP is what kind of posture?
An offensive posture
What certification is required prior to a member becoming certified as pursuit coxswain or pursuit boat crew member?
BO or BTM
What shall be assigned for tactical or pursuit training?
A safety observer
What is required to become a OPFOR operator?
To become an OPFOR operator, the member shall be assigned as a designated trainer who possesses the competency, demonstrates the maturity and has the demeanor to instruct
Level 1 PWCS or Pursuit Level IV OIC’s shall assign in writing for tactical or pursuit training, what?
In writing, designated trainers
What must an individual complete in oder to be a designated tactical or pursuit coxswain?
The member must have completed the formal CG resident training course for what they will be a trainer for and they possess the appropriate level certification, ability, maturity and demeanor
For a training evolution, who must be assigned to each platform?
A designated trainer
Who are the only individuals authorized to sign off tactical or pursuit PQS?
Only designated trainers
If a required weapon qualification lapses, the OIC shall locally suspend the members mission certification until the weapons requirements are met. If the period of suspension is greater than 2 weeks, the OIC shall do what?
The OIC shall,
- decertify the member for the effected qualification in TMT, or
- obtain a waiver from CG-721 via the chain of command

They shall ensure that all crewmembers are required to use crew restraint systems and/or gunner restraint systemss
