Since your last period have you had unprotected sexual intercourse?

ECP work withing 72 hours after unprotected sex.
Pharmacist Accredation required to supply by pharmacist
Not suitable for <70 kg or above or <26 BMI female beyond these ranges should refer to GP/ family planning clinic
Copper IUD is the best emergency option for overweight patients.

Can i get STI after unprotected sex with female partner?

Answer 3

Yes you can. similar percentage with male.So NO reason to avoid STI due to Female sexual oriantation

What should i ask to assess a patient about STI?

Been tasted or not
Had previously
Any symptoms
Vaginal discharge change
Lower abdominal pain
Abnormal bleeding
Anal pain or discharge

Does Morning after pill/ECP help with STIs?

Answer 5

No.ECP is only effective for pregnency. Refer to GP or Family planing for STI screening.

What should do after taking ECP?

Answer 6

Maintain Barrier (condom) method and continue regulare oral contraceptives. If SUGAR pills comes within 7 days skip the sugar pills and continue a new strip hormonal pills for 7 days.
