Caused due to diabetis
Slow healing
Infection may cause serious problem

Symptoms?

A

Mild and Moderate: Warm to touch, red, Slightly swollen, Pain, May have pus
Severe: Infection spread caused sepsis. Fever, Fast heartbeat, heavy or quick breathing
open sore or wound

Treatment?

A

Wash with saline then overed with protective, non sticky, waterproof dressing, rest, dont put pressure by walking.
For moderate to sevire infection: Antibiotic or hospitalisation required.

A

Dont use shoes too small or little large which cause friction and cause ulcer

Prevention?

A

Exam foot daily,
Use suitable footwear both in and outside
Treat high BP and High cholesterol
Manage sugar under control
Stop smoking and reduce weight by light exercise
