Q

What do molecules in a compound and elements and a mixture of different elements look like

A

Elements made up of molecules- atoms are joined and they’re all the same
Molecules in a compound - different atoms joined together
Mixture of different elements - The elements aren’t joined up so it’s a mixture

Q

Explain what a chemical reaction involves

A

chemical reaction involves chemicals(reactants) from combining together or splitting apart to from one or more new substances (products)
- When a new compound a synthesised elements combine
- new compounds produced by chemical reactions are always different from the original elements (reactants)
