this theory claims different types of cultuers are necessary of the success of different organisations

What is power culture? Identify disadvantages and advantages
Power culture is where an individual or selected group of people is responsible for all decision-making
This allows for the process of making decisions to be quicker, but there is a lack of diversity in persepctives

Role culture is when the organisation is defined by clear rules and hierarchies for smooth operation, and people have power in their position
This kind of culture allows for a stable organisation, but it tends to be bureaucratic with long chains of command
What is task culture? Identify disadvantages and advantages
Task culture is when the organisation gives power to the experts within a group, mostly used by matrix structure organisations
The roles in this organisation are flexible, but teams of employees mostly work independently and are expected to solve problems
What is person culture?
Person culture values every person in the company as an expert and relies on their experiences to operate the business. Tends to be employee-centric and employees have similar level of expertise
What is a cultural clash?
a cultural clash occurs when more than one culture competes for dominance and conflict rules
What are some circumstances that can lead to cultural clash?
internal and external growth
change in leadership
