What is human resource management?
the function of the management to recruit, train, and develop people employed within the business.

the process involves identifying the type of employees and how many are needed
What is recruitment and retention?
the process of hiring people and recruiting them for a position in the organisation, as well as retaining them
What is labour turnover within recruitment and retention?
percentage of workers leaving a business
What is training and development?
the process of teaching employees new skills for the job
What is appraisal?
this process involves an overall asessment of how the employee has been performing
What is dismissal and redundancies?
Disimissal is when the employer terminates an employee’s contract. Redundancy is when an employee is fired because the job is no longer needed
