Flying the “bird”

Straight and level.

On a descent.

A

For straight and level, the horizon should cut the bird in two.

For a descent, the bird should sit three degrees below the horizon, that is top of bird sitting just under 2.5 degree mark on PFD AH.

When and how do we flare?

A

At 30ft.

We DO NOT need to pull too far back at this point, the AC is already flared. Arrest the pitch down, then check the stick back.
