What are the ASI Speed Criteria for stable approach?

What is the stable approach configuration?
Flap 3 or FULL, GEAR DOWN
What is the Stable Approach rate of descent?
1200 fpm
What is the Stable Criteria regarding Localiser and Glideslope positioning?
No more than 1 dot deviation from glide or localiser.
What is the max Bank Angle for StbApp?
And for circling?
15 degrees.
15 degrees by 400 RA.
What exceptions are there for stable approaches?
Transient deviations due to atmospheric conditions are acceptable if corrected in a timely manner.
What are the differences to stable approaches when Circling is involved?
With the exception of bank angle, circling approaches must meet the stable criteria by 500 ft RA. By 400 ft RA, all stable criteria must be met to include maximum 15° bank angle at 400 ft within ± 30° final track.
When should we be stable by, and when MUST we be stable by?
What would you call at each point?
What would the response be?
We should be Stable by 1000ft.
We must be Stable by 500ft.
The calls are:
“1000ft”. OR “1000ft, NOT STABLE, SPEED/ HEIGHT”/ whichever criteria they’re missing
Response: “Checked”
(Monitor auto callout) “Stable” or “NOT STABLE, GO AROUND”
Response “Checked” or “Go around, flaps”
What is the maximum speed at 1000ft?
What must you do if you have not achieved this?
Vapp plus 30kt.
If this is not achieved, GO AROUND.
What is the minimum configuration by 1000ft?
What if this is not achieved?
Aircraft must be in landing configuration (flap full or three as briefed, landing gear down).
This alone is not “stable”, but if it isn’t achieved, you must GO AROUND.
