Blocks B1 receptors - reduces cardiac chrono/ino-tropy

A
Fatigue, bradycardia, hypoglycemia, sexual dysfunction
Black box: Abrupt discontinuation can cause adverse cardiac effects (heart becomes adjusted to new rate/force)
Caution with non-selective meds with underlying pulm conditions (bronchoconstriction)

HTN in pregnancy (pre-eclampsia)
Primary heart failure (Carvedilol)
