What occurs as the first step of “Hemostasis”?

There is a reactionary “knee jerk” vasoconstriction, which is transient.


What causes this transient vasoconstriction?

It is both a neuronal reflex as well as a response by the adjacent endothelial cells to release “endothelin”.
