Cabling Flashcards

1
Q

What is twisted pair cabling?

A

For short and medium length connections because of lower costs compared to optical fiber.
To reduce crosstalk two insulated copper wires are twisted around each other.

Q

What is CAT1 - CAT7?

A

The type of UTP cable, higher numbers mean more twists in the cable so greater speeds and length
