• media representations of royal family have changed because there have been many scandals and controversies that have come up involving the royal family and they had to deal with media backlash
  Eg. Prince Charles was criticised for lobbying with government ministers and civil servants. He was reported to have met them 36 times. Not supposed to support a particular side of politics and it was assumed he was giving advice to them
