A

A

German Olympic squad came top of the medals table. Hitler claimed how talented and strong the German race was and how it was superior to other races.

The Germans used the games as a chance to show their technology called the photo finish equipment. The stadium also contained the largest stop-clock ever made.

A

A

Hitler’s secret police, Gestapo hunted down anyone who might be against him. They could arrest and imprison anyone without trial.

They could also set up a web of informers to report anyone who was not a loyal Nazi. For example, Children were encouraged to report on their parents or teachers if they spoke out against the Fuhrer.

A

Boys learned military skills while girls learned mainly about cookery and motherhood.
