How does cholesteatoma present?

A
  • Foul discharge from the ear
  • Unilateral conductive hearing loss
  • As it spreads, can give infection, pain, vertigo

How is cholesteatoma managed?

A
  • Otoscopy can show abnormal build up of white debris in the upper tympanic membrane
  • CT head
  • Surgical removal to treat
