how does Larkin represent the rapist in the second stanza
he is deceived to think that he can satisfy his desires
the girl is less deceived because at least she knows the root of her suffering but he doesn’t

he has a complete lack of control over his desires

what can this be compared to
he can’t ever satisfy his desire
the same way the sunscrubbed room is padlocked in dry point
