Q

2 types of embryonic stem cells

A

a) totipotent: can become a complete, viable organism (can theoretically make a clone). comes from zygote

b) Pluripotent: can become all cell types in an adult organism. comes from blastocyst

Q

tissues: specialized cells that similar in structure group together to form tissues.

4 types?

A
  1. Epithelial: lines and protects
    tissues
  2. Connective: bind tissues together
  3. Muscle: allow movement
  4. Nervous: allow communication
