X - Informed Consent - Parents knew their children were in a study and gave consent but didn’t know what the study was about, so not fully informed
X - Protection From Harm - Causes prejudice, name calling and fighting, boys given pocket knives as a reward
+ - Withdrawal - parents were able to withdraw child ( 3 boys went home due to homesickness) HOWEVER children didn’t know they were in a study so couldn’t

X - Milgram - no informed consent because participants thought study was about learning instead of obedience
X - Milgram - Mental harm as giving shocks traumatised them and they showed physical signs of anxiety and stress.
Cohrs et al - able to withdraw by not filling in questionnaires and returning them.

Brendgen - Parents did consent for their children to be part of the study, however its unlikely that the teachers and children knew the true purpose of the study
Withdrawal - Brendgen - Possible harm to students being asked to think about phsycial and social aggression of other children in their class which could damage relationships (minor concerns)

A

Informed Consent - gained consent from Albert’s mother but she wasn’t fully informed.
Withdrawal - he clearly wanted to withdraw by crawling away and mother actually did withdraw him from the study
Protection From harm - Albert was clearly upset by the study which could have caused long term damage as he was withdrawn

Becker - Those who scored higher on the EAT 26 weren’t given guidance to where they could receive help for their disordered eating behaviours so no protection from harm
Bandura - used children and got consnet from the nursery
Watson and Rayner - confidentiality - little albert was a pseudonym ( we still dont know exactly who little albert really is)
