Panic Attack Specifier

A discrete period of intense fear or discomfort, w/ 4+ symptoms developed abruptly and a peak within 10 min

1. Palpitations, pounding heart, or accelerated heart rate

6. Chest pain or discomfort

2. deficits in adaptive functioning that result in of personal independence & social responsibility
(self-care, transportation, managing money, living in env, asking for help)

Autism

A. decifits in social communication & interactions
-deficit in social-emotional reciprocity
-deficitits in nonverbal communication
-deficits in developing/maintaining relationships

B. Restricted, repetitive patterns o behavior, interests (2+ Sx)

-insistence on sameness/inflexiible routine
-restricted, fixated interests
-hyperreactivity to sensory input

C. Sx present in early dev period

Anorexia (3 main criteria + subtypes)

A. restricted food intake resulting in low body weight
B. fear of gaining weight
C. disturbance in body perception

-restrictive type: 3 months of no binge/purge (weight loss from dieting, exercise)

-Binge-purging type: 3 months of binge-purge

Bulimia (3 main criteria)

A. binge-purge episodes
B. lack of control
C. inappropriate compensatory behavior 1x/week for 3 mo

C. criteria for MDE, ME, or HPME have never been met
