Q

What is context dependent forgetting?

A

Aspects of external environment work as cues to memory (sight, sounds, smells)
So being in different places would inhibit memory as we would lack environmental cues

Q

What are Category/Organisational cues?

A

Providing cues that relate to organisation/category of memories may aid recall as it’s easier to find a file if draws are labelled
Most effective cues have fewer things associated with them
Lack of organisational/category cues may inhibit memory
