2). Discuss Bloody Sunday by using the primary source document. Please consider these 3 factors: father Gabon, march of 200,000 Russians on palace of czar, and Czar Nicholas II’s response to this situation.
January 22, 1905 a priest named Father Gabon led a peaceful march of 200,000 workers and their families to the Winter Palace in St. Petersburg. The civilians wanted to ask czar Nicholas II for better working conditions, more personal freedom, and an elected national legislature. The czar resisted change- opened fire on the crowd. He didn’t care. Bloody Sunday did not have to happen, senseless killings.
3). List and describe 5 major problems with the new Weimar Republic in Germany during the 1920s. Which one problem do you think hurt the Germans the most, why?
- Germany lacked a strong democratic tradition
- had several minor/major political parties
- humiliation from the defeat in WWI
- “concepts” with the treaty of Versailles, namely Article 231 which out all of the blame on Germany

4). Describe the attack on Pearl Harbor from our discussion. Be sure to list specifics of attack in the essay-6 specifics out of 10. Why did the Japs attack the US in December of 1941? (List and explain 1 of 3 reasons why)

8 out of 12 major battleships were destroyed
185 out of 250 airplanes were destroyed
Over 3500 men were killed or wounded
Over 500 civilians killed or wounded
We were a threat to the japs and they hit us first before we could blow them. Also, more detailed they hit us after a 12 hour furlough when many are still recovering from being drunk.

US will cut off all trade with the japs completely- - cutting our oil supply to them
These economic pressures became unbearable for them, causing severe shortages in Japan
