Three main components
- Adz blade and pike

Adz blade
- 170mm long and 50mm wide

Pike
- 170mm long

Shaft
- 25mm diameter
- groves at both ends for grip

Metal cutting claw
- 180mm long
- curved cutting edge

Operation

Prising open (inward) windows/doors
- secure line to handle
- stand on right angle to door with shoulder on wall
- position Adz blade against the door with tip in the door jam near the lock
- drive blade into door frame
- lever down on tool if lock or right side (lever up for lock on left side.
- push door carefully in just in case someone on other side or fire in compartment

Outward opening
- stand at right angle to door with lead foot 100mm from door to control opening
- insert Adz blade between door and frame
- use sledgehammer to work blade in
- push tool away from door to separate door from jam.
- control opening of door.

Safety
- never swing tool
- when placing tool on ground ensure pike and Adz blade facing down
- be cautious of electrical wiring
