When used in conjunction with hydraulic pump they can be used to lift, spread, pull, push and crush. Used primarily with RCR.

Connect spreaders
- place spreaders in equipment staging area
- connect hose to pump and spreaders
Operate spreaders
- Start pump
- Right on handle to open
- Left on handle to close
- Release handle to lock in position
Safety
-Never work between the tool and the vehicle.
- Use clear calls when opening and closing tool.
- Make sure there is hard protection in place between tool and casualty.
Changing tips
- press spring loaded pin and remove tips.
- Press spring loaded pin in when fitting other tips.
Make-up
- Return arms to just slightly apart.
-Turn off pump
- Disconnect hose
- Replace dust caps and clean tool
