Why do you want to work at EY in Technology Consulting?
EY stood out to me not just because it’s a leading professional services firm, but because of how much it invests in developing its people. I came across initiatives like EY Badges and the emphasis on continuous learning, and I really value that kind of growth culture — especially in a fast-moving space like tech.
What really appealed to me specifically about technology consulting at EY is the opportunity to sit at the intersection between business and technology — helping clients solve strategic challenges using innovative tools. I had the chance to explore this space during my work experience with IBM Consulting, where I was exposed to hybrid cloud, SAP, and emerging tech like GenAI and quantum computing. That sparked my interest in tech-driven problem solving, but I realised what I enjoy most is working directly with clients — understanding their needs and translating that into action.
I’ve also had hands-on consulting experience through a project with Palladium Digital and a consulting skills week with firms like IBM and Savitas. I got to apply frameworks like MECE and SCQA and deliver client pitches — which taught me how to think critically and communicate with clarity, two skills I’d bring to the role.
So for me, EY Tech Consulting brings together everything I’m looking for — a collaborative culture, real responsibility, and the chance to work on impactful digital transformation projects. And from what I’ve seen, people like Adjay [your interviewer] show that you can build a meaningful, long-term career here.
