Beginning

• While searching for his nymph, Hermes encounters a miserable serpent woman who is willing to exchange the location of the nymph for a mortal human form.
• Hermes agrees and he finds the betrayed nymph
• Lamia transforms into a mortal woman and travels to the city of Corinth.

Question 2

Middle

Answer 2

• Lamia and Lycius fall in love (or Lamia enchants Lycius)
• They move into a secluded home after Lamia pleas to Lycius that they hide from everyone.
• They live in domestic harmony until the sound of trumpets startle Lycius one day (snapping out of the enchantment?)
• Lycius demands that he and Lamia wed and Lamia - who lost all her power in her transformation- cannot do anything but agree.

Question 3

End

Answer 3

• After pleading that Apollonius does not attend the wedding, Lamia begins to prepare their house.
• Guests arrive, marvelling at the house
• ## Apollonius, despite not being invited, turns up at the wedding unannounced.
