What is meant by delegated legislation?
Delegated legislation is law made by some person or body other than parliament, but with the authority of parliament.

Orders in council are made by the privy council (a group of senior politicians)

The Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations 2002.
What are by laws?
By-law is law made by local authorities
What is an example of by laws?
An example is a lock parking legislation
What are the main reasons for delegated legislation?
