Lesson 11 - Revision 1 Flashcards
(7 cards)
What are the units for gravitational field strength?
N/kg. N = newtons
How do you calculate weight? Including units.
Gravitational field strength x mass = weight. Weight is measured in Newtons.
Will you have the same weight on different planets?
No - all the gravitational field strengths on different planets are different.
Will you have the same mass on different planets? (Mass is measured in kg)
Yes - mass is a measure of the amount of matter an object contains, and that amount of matter doesn’t change when you move from one planet to another.
Does a solar eclipse happen during the day or night?
During the day.
Does the Lunar Eclipse involve the Earth’s shadow or the Moon’s shadow?
The Earth’s shadow
Can a Solar Eclipse or a Lunar Eclipse be seen on Earth?
Both of them can be seen on Earth
