What is a ward?
Administrative district of city or borough which is represented by councillor(s)
What is a super output area?
Geographic areas used to report statistics, especially census data and are represented by a number of households
What is a housing tenure?
Financial arrangement and ownership structure under which someone has the right to live in a house or apartment

• Many locations there named after American places due to lots of trade with America during dock

• Diverse and vibrant with activities
• Historic
• Has good transport links and near to city centre
Describe some negative aspects of modern Salford Quays
• Expensive house prices
• Lots rubbish
• Lost sense of community
• Clone town
How has census data changed from the 1950s?
Gives much more information allowing health, education and many other factors to be understood from only marital status, occupation and place of birth in the 50s
What are some disadvantages of censuses?
• Almost always out of date
• Time consuming
• People may not answer so not accurate
