DS = used in the project. All WBS Elements and Activities that need to be settled are settled directly to the receiver of the project.

MLS= all activities are settled to their respective WBS elements. The WBS elements are settled upward in the hierarchy until everything is settled to the top level WBS element . Once settlement reached the top level WBS element, it is then settled to the receiver for the project.
