A

Intestitial myocarditis

Myocarditis refers to generalized inflammation of the myocardium associated with necrosis and degeneration of myocytes

(the def. especially excludes ischemic heart disease)

It can occure in any age, common between 1‐10 years old

Caused by:

Infectious: viral, bacterial, fungi, rickettsia, parasites (Echinococcus, Trichinela)

–viruses – coxackie, echo, influenza, HIV, rickettsia, toxins

Noninfectious: radiation, sarcoidosis, uremia, rheumatic fever, SLE, Reumatoid artritis
