criteria for PCOS

abnormal uterine bleeding
infertility
increased risk endometrial CA
increased CRP
metabolic syndrome with increased risk CV disease
higher incidence DM II, HTN

Tx of PCOS

depends on chief complaint
have to give them progesterone

used to Tx hirsutism with PCOS

steroids to decrease androgen production

Tx for PCOS patient who wants to get pregnant

clomiphene (risk of ovarian hyperstimulation)
second line use purified human FSH
