whats the pterion and whats right under it
a weak point in the skull where the temporal, sphenoid, frontal and parietal bones meet.

the two mandibles meet at the symphasis menti
then the anterior process that articulates with the temporal bone is the coronoid process. the posterior one is the condylar process
what goes in the mandibular foramen and whats the landmark
the inferior alveolar nerve goes in here and the pointy bit of the lingula marks it out.
what two bones make up the zygomatic arch
zygomatic process of the temporal bone and the temporal process of the zygomatic process
what are the two parts of the orbicularis oculi and what they do
palpebral part is the bit over the eye and it shuts eye lightly
orbital part over the orbital bone shuts the eye tightly.
whats the function of the orbicularis oris
to compress and protrude the lips - kissing muscle
whats the function of the buccinator muscle
to collapse the cheeck pushing the food against the teeth, not a mucscle of mastication
what nerve innervates the muscles of facial expression
the facial nerve
whats the function of the platsyma
superficial muscle of the neck, depresses the lower lip and tenses the skin of the neck
whats the function of the frontalis muscle
elevate the eyebrows and wrinkle the forehead
where does the parotid duct run over and pierce
the duct runs over the masseter muscle, and pierces the buccinator muscle
