The Bible
This is where Christians pull their beliefs from. It consists of 39 books in the Old Testament and 27 books in the New Testament.
The Old Testament
It begins with God’s Creation of the universe and humanity. It was written before the birth/incarnation of Jesus. The first 5 books are also called the Torah, and are called the 5 books of God’s law. It describes the Jewish people before Jesus
The New Testament
It begins with the 4 Gospels, then the book of acts of the apostles and contains several letters between early Christian leaders. It ends with the book of revelation.
The 4 Gospels
The beginning of the New Testament. Descriptions of Jesus’ life, death, resurrection and ascension to God can be found here. Matthew and John of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John were disciples of Jesus.
The Ten Commandments
Found in the Old Testament
You shall have no other gods before Me. This commandment emphasizes the belief in one God.
You shall not make unto thee any graven image.
You shall not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.
Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Honor thy father and thy mother.
You shall not murder. .
You shall not commit adultery.
You shall not steal.
You shall not bear false witness against thy neighbor.
You shall not covet.
The trinity
Christians believe there is 1 God but 3 parts towards that God. The father, who is in heaven, the Son, Jesus and the Holy Spirit, which is in every Christian.

The Father- Trinity
God the Father shows Christians that in the same way a parent might create and nurture a life, God cares about his Creation and wants to protect it. God crafted a universe he loves, and he will provide for his Creation.
The Son-Trinity
God the Son helps Christians to understand how God makes his love known in the world. Jesus spread teachings of
compassion and healed people who were sick. The life of Jesus, as described in the Gospels, also demonstrates that sacrifice and suffering are important parts of the human experience.
The Holy Spirit-Trinity
The Holy Spirit reminds Christians that God is with them and empowers Christians.
Jesus’ birth
Believed to happen on Christmas, it happened in a manger by Mary and Mary was a virgin when it happened making it significant.
The Last Supper
The last meal Jesus shared with his disciples where he predicted one of them would betray him. He would break bread and share wine with them.
Jesus’ arrest
Judas, one of his disciples, would go on to betray him and he would be arrested whilst talking to his disciples at Garden of Gethsemane
Jesus’ trial
Jesus was put on trial by the Sanhedrin. They considered Jesus’ claims to be the son of God blasphemy and found him guilty of this charge. Pontius Pilate would give the crowd a chance to free him but they picked to free Barabbas instead.
Jesus’ crucifixion
Jesus was crucified on a Friday. He was crucified along with 2 robbers with one asking to be remembered and who would be forgiven. Before he died he would ask the father “Father forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing”.
Jesus’ resurrection
His body was put in a tomb guarded by a rock after his death. Early on Sunday morning, the rock was found moved and his tomb empty whilst some of his female followers were going to anoint him with spices.
Jesus’ ascension
The Gospel of Luke says that 40 days after his resurrection he ascended to Heaven.
Incarnation
The Christian belief that God took human form in Jesus. Jesus was incarnated to help mend the relationship between God and humans that was on thin ice since Adam and Eve.

What did Jesus do to the God’s commands?
He expanded on them by saying it didn’t just mean it but other ways are the same as doing that.
