Q

example of harmful species being introduced to another place?

A

Q

eutrophication process?

A

~fertiliser added to fields and is washed off into rivers and water systems
~fertiliser contain nitrates and phosphates, which encourages algal growth on the surface of water
~surface plants clock sunlight below, so stop photosynthesizing
~bacteria break down the dead plants and use up the oxygen
~aquatic animals and fish die due to lack of oxygen
