A

i have not heard or found in a Baritah an explanation of how it (Afod) looks,
my heart tells me (Rashi own opinion) that he (the Kohen Gadol)
is belted into the afod from behind. Its width was as wide as a
man’s back. It is similar to an apron which is called “pourceint” in
old French. Which ladies of tie on them when they ride on horses
(rashi is using realia)
