When does crew duty day commence?

Starts whenever the first crewmember commences crew duties or reports to work and terminates one hour after engine shutdown at the end of a flight or series of flights. If an aircrew member performs duties to include maintenance or cargo handling in excess of one hour after engine shutdown, crew rest begins at the completion of such duties. For operations away from home station, crew day will commence at the show time designated by the AC at the airfield, and crew rest will begin upon leaving the airfield.
