Q

Antecedent intervention Example

A

Manipulate the antecedent to make ice cream more valuable for me. Withhold ice cream. The more they are deprived of ice cream, the more valuable it becomes.

Before I start the work, I’m manipulating the motivation for ice cream.

Q

Preventative antecedent

A

up of water and client loves to knock over drinks. So, I’m going to manipulate the environment to alter/control the behavior. Keep the top on, keep it far away from the child. To manipulate antecedent.

Q

Differential Reinforcement

A

That’s what you’re doing during discrimination training Like touch blue and blue is reinforced yellow is on extinction.

6
Q

DRO

A

Pick a behavior. When that behavior is not happening, you deliver reinforcement. You deliver reinforcement in the absence of behavior.

Example: when the child stops screaming, I would reinforce them once they are quiet so thank you for being quiet and sitting still for me.

8
Q

DRA

A

Pick a target behavior and a replacement behavior. When the replacement behavior happens, reinforce that behavior. These behaviors can occur at the same time.

Example: Aggressive child lets me know instead of aggressing “im mad”
