-lived in fear,

What happened to children and vulnerable people during the Blitz?
Vulnerable people, especially children were:
- Transported to the countryside by train for safety carrying only fav belonging
- Temporarily lived with host families
- Children were sent to new schools
- Made new friends
-Explored nature in the countryside, unlike hustle and bustle in London
What was food rationing like during the Blitz?
Rationing used coupons for basics like clothes, tea, sugar, butter, and meat — sometimes eggs and milk too, mainly for those in need
How did the British government respond to the Blitz and what did they do to assist people?
Shelters, gas masks, rescue help, and positive messages were given to people.
How did London recover and how long did this take?
London:
-fixed buildings
-cleared damage
-helped ppl
but full recovery took years after the war.
