Action?

A

Slows the AV conduction & suppresses reentry dysrhythmias. Causes dilation of the coronary arteries & reduces the O2 demand of the heart

A

2.5 to 5 mg pushed over 2-3 min, may repeat @ double dose 15-30 min to a MAX TOTAL=20 mg
