Note**
When calls are made to Department subdivisions regarding a service or supply furnished by that subdivision, they SHALL be made to the OFFICE of the subdivision and NOT to a particular person.
“Emergency Service” definition.
Service which if not made would cause damage to persons or property or could seriously hamper the emergency operations of the Department subdivision involved.
How are “Emergency Service” requests made?
- Station or Unit commanders SHALL make emergency request verbally to the Department subdivision responsible for providing the service
- When offices are closed, field commanders SHALL direct emergency requests for services and supples to Metro.
- If a requisition is normally required for the service, it SHALL BE SUBMITTED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
Note**
When an “Expendable item” is in surplus a requisition is NOT necessary.
When someone wants to purchase DISCARDED items (old fire hose), who are they referred to?

When red rags become soiled, they SHALL be tied in bundles of _, tagged with DUPLICATE _, and forwarded to Battalion Headquarters or designated station.
