CHRONIC FORM

  • MYOCARDITIS, dilated cardiomyopathy w/ apical atrophy
  • MEGACOLON, MEGAESOPHAGUS (2nd achalasia)
  • death - usually d.t. cardiac arrhythmias or CHF
