- light palpation of fascial nerve causes fasciculations

Trousseaus sign
- BP cuff causes flexion of wrist and MCPJ due to ischamia and pressure on the nerve

A

symptoms of hypocalcaemia
tetany
paraesthesia - hands, feet and mouth
calcification of the lenses (+ basal ganglia)

as neurones are more excitable and there is spontaneous firing of neurones
