  • complicated UTI-pyelonephritis, chronic bacterial prostatis
  • pneumonia/chronic bronchitis exacerbation
  • PCN resistant s. pneumoniae, skin infections/bone and joint infections, infectious diarrhea

  • prolonged use of moxifloxacin-ECG shows syncope or torsades de point
  • patients with epilepsy, alcohol abuse, or on theophylline-monitored for seizures, CNS irritability
