Definition of Greenhouse effect
The trapping of heat in the Earth’s atmosphere, warming up the Earth.
Examples of greenhouse gasses
Methane, carbon dioxide, water.
Definition of greenhouse gasses
Gasses that absorb and trap infrared light then release it.
What is the difference between weather and climate?
Weather is short-term, climate is long-term.
What is positive feedback?
The output of the system serves to reinforce or amplify the initial disturbance.
What is negative feedback?
The output of the system acts to restrict the effects of the initial disturbance.
Is a positive feedback loop always desirable?
A positive feedback loop is not necessarily desirable.
Is A negative feedback loop always undesirable?
A negative feedback loop is not necessarily undesirable.
What do ice cores provide?
Ice cores provide us information of how the past looked like. It primarily tells us what the atmosphere was like back then.
