Q

what is the role of mRNA, tRNA, and rRNA?

A

mRNA: Contains the message of code for amino acid sequences.
tRNA: Transfers amino acids, contains anticodons that pair with mRNA codons to put amino acids to synthesize proteins.
rRNA: Facilitate matching of mRNA and tRNA, joins amino acids to synthesize proteins.

3
Q

List the functions of the 3 sites; A, P, E

A

A (aminoacyl): Matches correct incoming tRNA to next codon onto tRNA
P (Peptide): Holds tRNA carrying growing polypetide chain
E (Exit): The place where anticodons exit
