- Cancer is when the cells of the body no longer respond to the signals that regulate the cell cycle.
- Uncontrollable cell division
- Tumors:
- A mass of defective cells are called tumors.
- Damaging to the organisms because the tumors affect the function of the tissues and organs.
- We understand what the cells are doing but we do not fully understand why they no longer respond to those signals so we cannot yet cure the problem.
