- Atypical - chlozapine
they reduce activity of dopamine

- Helps for positive symptoms
- Lots of side effects

- Block serotonin receptors (but rapidly dissociate)
- works on negative symptoms as well
- weight gain & obesity

- passing electricity through the brain in intention to induce a seizure
- as if it aims to restart the nervous system and affects the release of neurotransmitters
- memory loss, even death
- most effect to individuals with catatonic symptoms

- talking therapy designed to help people change through recognizing and challenging the thoughts that underline their behaviors
