CBC, Physical exam, WBC - results will be elevated

A
Surgery to remove, IV antibiotics, semi-fowler’s position. NPO to rest stomach

A
NPO, no heat on abdomen, IV fluids

NO HEAT - can lead to rupture
Ultra sound for imaging is most common
