Procedure

A
  1. Parents were contacted then visited at home. Consent was obtained then they filled out a questionnaire about the child’s current spacer device.
  2. Parents were given a funhaler to use for 2 weeks
  3. Parents filled in another questionnaire asking about the Funhaler

2 Quantitative findings

A

80% of children achieved the desired number of breath cycles compared to 50% previously
60% of parents said they were satisfied with the device compared to 10% previously
