What is the contingency theory?
links the situation with the concept of task and relationship.
What are the three elements of the leader-follower contingency model?

What is the Situational Leadership model?
proposes that a leader’s style is flexible and may be adjusted to fit the situation
What are the four flexible leadership styles?
Directive/Telling (S1), Coaching/Selling (S2), Participating/Supporting (S3), Delegating (S4)
What are the 4 contemporary approaches?
attribution theory, charismatic and visionary leadership, transformational versus transactional leadership, emotional intellegence.
What is the attribution theory also called?
Cause and effect
What is transformational leadership qualities?
charisma and inspiration, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration.
What is transactional leadership qualities?
provides contingent rewards, management by exception (active), ad management by exception (passive)
What is emotional intellegence?
refers to the leader’s ability to recognize one’s own feelings and those of others for self-otivation and for managing emotions in themselves and in relationships with others.
